Head RVN - Wimborne branch

Independent practice in Dorset is looking for a Head RVN to join their team.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced RVN to join our practice in Dorset and lead the nursing team.

We are an RCVS accredited practice, with a large experienced, friendly & supportive team. This constantly growing practice has invested heavily in our team & facilities over the last couple of years and will continue to grow in the future, so you will be safe in the knowledge that you are joining a modern, well equipped practice. The benefits of being an independently-owned practice mean that there is very much a team ethos and the development and support of individuals within the team is very important to us.

Our facilities and team experience mean that we can work up our medicine & surgical cases to a high standard, giving a strong sense of clinical satisfaction.

We are also a nurse training practice, with our team of RVNs involved in Clinical Coaching our student nurses.

If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking to join a progressive independent practice, where you will be encouraged to use your nursing skills to the full, this is definitely the role for you!

Key Info: Independent practice in Dorset

Full Time position

37.5 hours per week, plus Saturdays on a rota basis

Hands on, all round nursing role

No OOH

Key Benefits: Lots of room for development, including CPD allowance

The Role:       

You’ll be overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursing team and working closely with the clinical & client care teams within the practice and across our branches

Creating and managing staff rotas

General nursing duties

Key Skills: RCVS registered, with rights to work in the UK

Dedicated & passionate about your chosen career

Experience or interest in Clinical Coaching would be preferred

Great team player – approachable & assertive, with a degree of ease & confidence managing a team and allocating tasks & areas of responsibility

Ability to think on your feet when required!

Ideally, previous team leadership experience

Full clean driving licence
