Alyson Richardson BVSc CertVD MRCVS
Partner & Veterinary Surgeon
Alyson qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Liverpool in 1990 and joined Lynwood in 1991. She attained a further qualification in 1997 in Veterinary Dermatology and has a particular interest in skin problems. Aly joined the partnership in 1997.
She is married with a son and daughter. Her hobbies include running and playing tennis (badly) and watching her much more able children play tennis.
Janine Stewart BVetMed MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Janine first joined Lynwood in 2000 as a student veterinary nurse. She returned in 2006 as a Veterinary Surgeon after qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College. When not at work Janine enjoys walking her dogs, yoga and Terry Pratchett’s sense of humour. Her 2 dogs and 1 cat are all rescues.
Elin Uppheim BVetMed
Veterinary Surgeon
Elin graduated from the RVC in 2000, and enjoyed 4 years in mixed practice before concentrating on small animals. She gained a general practitioners certificate in small animal medicine in 2006 and joined the Lynwood team in November 2008.
Elin’s interests include walking, wildlife, travelling and pandering to her cat and dog.
Martine Smid Weevers DRS MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon (part time)
Martine qualified in 1989 from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. She is married with 2 teenagers both of whom are bi-lingual. Martine has an interest in homeopathy.
She has a Yorkshire Terrier, Petit, who was born by caesarean here at Lynwood and is, as the name suggests, very small. Hobbies include tropical gardening and learning Portuguese.
Amanda Collis BVetMed MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon (part time)
Amanda graduated at the RVC in 1994. She locumed at Lynwood in 2002 between starting a family. Amanda started working for us on a permanent basis in 2008. She has 3 young daughters and each have a guinea pig to look after. Due to family commitments Amanda is now working with us on a flexible basis to cover busier periods
