Alan Hunter BVM&S MRCVS
Partner & Veterinary Surgeon
Alan qualified from the Royal Dick Veterinary School in Edinburgh in 1984. He has been a partner with the Lynwood veterinary Group since 1989. Alan’s specialist interest is small animal surgery.
Alan likes to keep fit and his hobbies include cycling.He has undertaken some gruelling challenges such as the Etape du Tour, cycling in The Alps and The Pyrenees. In July he is taking part in the Bournemouth International triathlon. He is keen on windsurfing and snowboarding. He lives in Bournemouth with his children, Alice and Jack.
Duncan Reavell MA VetMB Cert SAM GP Cert(SAM) MRCVS A1
Partner & Veterinary Surgeon
Duncan qualified from Cambridge in 1998. He joined the practice in 2004 after previously working in mixed practice in Bungay, Suffolk. In 2008 he attained the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine and runs a diagnostic imaging and internal medicine referral service from the practice. Duncan joined the partnership in 2010. He also lectures pharmacology to the student veterinary nurses at the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing. Outside of work Duncan is a modestly gifted tenor and also plays the piano, cello and classical guitar. He is a keen lifelong horseman but currently acting as groom to his children. He also enjoys skiing, camping and astronomy.
Chris Pole BVSc MRCVS
Consultant Veterinary Surgeon
Chris qualified from Liverpool in 1977 and joined Lynwood in 1979, becoming a partner in 1984. In 2012 he retired from the partnership but we are pleased to say he continues to work at Wimborne as one of our regular veterinary surgeons. Chris has an interest in internal medicine and is responsible for the majority of first presentation consultations. He also takes a special interest in issues surrounding pet passports and the health of animals abroad. He lives locally with his cat. When he is not at work he enjoys photography, walking, wildlife, travelling, reading and gardening

Anna Reavell MA BSc VetMB PG Dip CABC MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon (part time)
Anna qualified from Cambridge University in 1998. She joined the practice in 2009 after previously working in a small animal practice in Norfolk. Anna has attained a postgraduate diploma in Animal Behaviour Counselling, drawing on her previous psychology and veterinary degrees. She is married to Duncan and lives locally with their two sons. In spare time Anna enjoys riding, skiing and cycling
Nina Norden DrVetMed MRCVS
Veterinary surgeon (part time)
Nina studied veterinary medicine at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. She then spent two years working at a state veterinary office in northern Namibia while conducting the field work for her dissertation in parasitology. After returning to Europe she worked in small animal practice in Germany and UK for several years before changing career direction towards departmental work, operational management and later IT related development at a world leading veterinary diagnostic laboratory. Nina speaks fluent German and English and enjoys translation work. She now divides her time between small animal practice, veterinary out-of-hours work and a Clinical Case Manager for Vet CT Specialists.
Louis Rumbold BSc(hons) BVetMed MRCVS
Louis undertook a degree in biosciences, before graduating as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010. After qualification he worked at Lynwood as a locum for a few months before taking up an internship at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, where he developed a keen interest in soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. Having completed this we were very pleased that he was keen to return to work at Wimborne where he is rapidly developing a client following.
When Louis is not working he enjoys playing guitar, rowing and playing rugby. Louis recently married Selina, who is a vet at our Wareham branch and they live locally with their menagerie of animals.
