Val Smith VN, D32, D33, D34 Cert. Ed.

Val is the Head of the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing, and co-ordinator for all the Veterinary Nursing programmes. Following 10 years as a veterinary nurse she taught at Berkshire College before moving to Lynwood.

Val currently is responsible for lecturing the Animal Nursing Assistants Course and also the Level 2 Veterinary Nursing. Her specialities within the Level 3 programme are medical nursing and pharmacology.

Val is also a qualified NVQ assessor and internal verifier and also teaches the A1 certificate.

Lisa Mulcock VN, D32, D33, D34 Cert Ed

Lisa is an experienced veterinary nurse and has been in the profession for over eighteen years, the last seven of which have seen her becoming increasingly involved in the NVQ aspect of the veterinary nursing profession.

Lisa has experience as a head nurse and assessor in practice. She is now a lecturer at the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing and also manages the Veterinary Nursing Approved Centre and is the principal internal verifier for the school. Her lecturing responsibilities include specialist subjects in radiography and laboratory diagnosis as well as being involved in part of the level 2 and ANAC courses . Lisa is also responsible for marketing and promotion of the VPAC certificate, and is now also tutor for this course.

Gail Lawson VN, D32, D33, V1

Gail has over thirty years experience as a veterinary nurse and had worked at some of the most prestigious veterinary hospitals in the country, as well as experience of nursing in Switzerland. She has held the position of both head nurse and assessor in practice and her specialist role with Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing is within the field of portfolio verification. Gail is also work based learning co-ordinator and involved with moderating and marking the VPAC course.
