Practice

Our Verwood surgery opened in March 2002 and is closely linked to our Wimborne practice, enabling us to provide 24 hour emergency cover.

Consultations are carried out in our morning clinic from 8.30 until 10.00 and in the afternoon clinic from 2.30 until 4.00. You will normally see the same familiar faces at Verwood as frances Hunter is our veterinary surgeon based here, with our receptionist, Sue Kennell, and veterinary nurse, Tracy Upshall.

All surgical procedures are carried out in the operating theatre at our Wimborne practice, and our clients have the choice of us transporting their pets in our animal ambulance, or if preferred, owners are welcome to take their pets to Wimborne themselves.

Our aim is to provide the best possible health care for your pets in a pleasant, friendly environment. We are committed to keeping abreast of the latest developments in modern veterinary practice - providing high quality treatment at sensible prices.

To this end, we feel that prevention is better than cure! We aim to provide pet owners with the support they need to help their pets stay fit and healthy. Our VIP plan, puppy socialisation classes and Well Pet blood screening are examples of how we can provide invaluable “back-up support” for our clients.

Clients are always welcome to call into the surgery for help and advice regarding their pets - many owners with somewhat relucatant dogs in tow appear just for a “social” visit to help to acclimatise their pet to visiting the surgery!
