Finance Administrator

Full Time Position - Wimborne

Lynwood Vets are looking for a motivated, experienced Finance Administrator to join their office team within the Wimborne branch due to maternity leave.

The Successful candidate for this role has the opportunity of working a temporary basis for 9 months, with the potential of becoming permanent within a varied role and expanding duties.

Key responsibilities within this role are as follows:

  • Be able to set and enforce effective credit control – to include monitoring debtors. Sending regular invoices and statements, dealing with overdue account collection and debt collection services, queries on accounts and setting up payment agreements.
  • Be able to deal effectively with day to day banking transactions e.g. credits, automated credits and debits, standing orders, cash handling and reconcile bank statements.
  • Understanding a practice balance sheet.
  • Reconciliation of daily monies.
  • Banking of monies.
  • Be able to set up and maintain a suitable filing and archive system for financial and general practice records and information, and understand the requirements for security and for keeping financial records.
  • Ensuring adequate change, preparing Wimborne & Verwood floats.
  • End of month reconciliation of streamline figures.
  • Checking invoices and statements are correct and forwarding to the head office team.
  • Monitor and maintain the health care plan administration and checking monthly statement.
  • Opening of post and dealing with where possible or forwarding to the correct person.
  • Other administrative tasks as requested and provide support to office team and Directors as requested.
  • Be able to identify and monitor financial and other performance trends. 


Full clean driving licence.

***Receptionist full time - Wimborne Branch***

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual, who makes client care their priority, to join our Customer Care team.

The vacancy is in a busy Veterinary practice and the role will cover working on both the reception area and performing some admin tasks.

We are seeking someone who can work effectively in a busy, fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure. You will need to be adaptable and able to learn quickly and pick up tasks as well as being organised and able to multitask.

You will need to be computer literate and able to handle a range of administrative work. Previous reception or customer services work would be welcomed.

The position work hours are arranged on a rota to be worked between 7.45am and 7pm. It will also include Saturday shifts, again on a rota basis.
