Rebecca grew up in the South Downs where she developed her love for animals and science. She qualified from Cambridge in 1999 and initially worked with farm animals as well as pets in Yorkshire. After two years, Rebecca decided to focus on pets and in 2011 moved to Dorset. She joined the Lynwood team after locuming at Lynwood’s in 2016, as the Practice Manager and Veterinary Surgeon.
Rebecca became interested in practice management to make a difference to the team as well as the pets and their owners and loves seeing the continual improvements that are made at Lynwood Vets.
Outside of work, Rebecca has a son who has got her into exploring the local areas by bike and she loves playing her saxophone in local bands.
Luisa graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006 and has been working at Lynwood since 2015.
She is the proud owner of a Fox Red Labrador called Sid, an Abyssinian cat called Dotty and two monkeys (her 2 young sons!)
She lives in Highcliffe with her husband Paul where her life is largely donated by running around after her boys and enjoying all that seaside and New Forest living has to offer.
Janine first joined Lynwood in 2000 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. She returned in 2006 as a Veterinary Surgeon after qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College.
When not at work Janine enjoys walking her dogs, yoga, and Terry Pratchett’s sense of humour. Janine's time is split between the Wimborne and Bournemouth branches.
Elin graduated from the RVC in 2000 and enjoyed 4 years in mixed practice before concentrating on small animals. She gained a general practitioner’s certificate in small animal medicine in 2006 and joined the Lynwood team in November 2008.
Elin’s interests include walking, wildlife, travelling and pandering to her cat and dog.
Martine qualified in 1989 from the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands. She is married with two children.
She has a cat called Bella, who was rescued via the RSPCA.
Hobbies include walking, cycling, singing, Zumba, tropical gardening and trying to live in a more sustainable way.
Sam joined Lynwood in February 2014 after completing her training at another practice in Bournemouth. She enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a particular interest in hydrotherapy. Sam holds a Level 3 Certificate in hydrotherapy for small animals and carries out regular sessions in the underwater treadmill at the Bournemouth branch.
When not working Sam spends her life chasing after her dog Kona and playing netball.
Lucy joined Lynwood in 2011 as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse and qualified in November 2012. Lucy was originally a Receptionist for another practice and then went on to do her training.
She enjoys all aspects of her nursing role including laser therapy, laboratory analysis, weight management clinics and critical care.
As an experienced Veterinary Nurse, she is a clinical coach to Student Nurses at our Bournemouth branch and enjoys sharing with others all the skills she has learnt throughout her nursing career.
Iva moved to the UK from Brazil and started working at Lynwood Vets during September 2018. After three years as a Receptionist and one year as a Student Veterinary Nurse in another vet practice, she decided to fulfil her dreams of caring for animals and completed her Veterinary Nursing Diploma.
Iva loves animals especially dogs and cats. She was registered with Kennel Club in Brazil where she bred Boxers and Miniature Pinschers. She also has NVQ Diploma level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership and Animal Psychology Diploma achieved in the UK.
Charlotte joined Lynwood in February 2015 as a veterinary receptionist and became our Ambulance Driver/Animal Care Assistant in 2016.
She studied at Sparsholt College and gained a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. She is now working towards her Veterinary Nursing Diploma.
Charlotte owns a Staffordshire Terrier named Maximus, two cats and two degu's. In her spare time Charlotte enjoys wildlife watching, canoeing and spending time with her family and pets.
Mairin joined Lynwood Vets as a Student Veterinary Nurse whilst carrying out her 2nd year training with Sparsholt University Centre and is studying the FdSc degree in Veterinary Nursing Science. She has always wanted to work with animals and loves to learn new things.
Gerry is a qualified veterinary nurse and has been working with us since 2002, supporting our team in the smooth running of the practice.
She has an elderly cat, Charlie, who is quite a character and can be a little demanding at times. She enjoys pet sitting for friends and colleagues, sometimes to the annoyance of Charlie! When not at work she is often found gardening and likes spending time outdoors.
Sally joined Lynwood in September 2017, having previously spent over 20 years’ in front of house positions.
When not at work, Sally loves to spend time with her two dogs and enjoys taking them on long walks.
Before working for Lynwood, amongst a range of other previous roles, Ruth has worked as part of a nursing team in various veterinary surgeries. She has an interest in rabbit welfare and has previously worked voluntarily at Rabbit Residence Rescue near Cambridge which has around 200 rabbits.
Ruth has two of her own rescue rabbits, who live free range at home and rule the roost. When not at work, Ruth enjoys sea swimming, surfing, yoga, and art.
