Siobhan has worked for Lynwood Veterinary Group for several years. The first five were spent at the Bournemouth branch prior to moving to and managing the Lynwood Purbeck surgeries.
Siobhan has a special interest in skin diseases in small animals and achieved her Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology in 1998.
She periodically sees skin referral appointments within the group and from other practices. Her outside interests include cycling, kayaking, and walking her lively Springer and Labrador.
Rebecca grew up in the South Downs where she developed her love for animals and science. She qualified from Cambridge in 1999 and initially worked with farm animals as well as pets in Yorkshire. After two years, Rebecca decided to focus on pets and in 2011 moved to Dorset. She joined the Lynwood team after locuming at Lynwood’s in 2016, as the Practice Manager and Veterinary Surgeon.
Rebecca became interested in practice management to make a difference to the team as well as the pets and their owners and loves seeing the continual improvements that are made at Lynwood Vets.
Outside of work, Rebecca has a son who has got her into exploring the local areas by bike and she loves playing her saxophone in local bands.
Kathryn joined Lynwood as a locum vet in Spring 2007. She enjoyed the practice and became a permanent member of the team shortly afterwards.
Kathryn qualified from Bristol University in 2003 and began work in mixed practice in Cornwall. She then spent two years in small animal practice in Buckinghamshire prior to working as a locum on the South Coast. Kathryn returned to the Practice, after maternity leave, in Spring 2011.
Outside work Kathryn is kept busy by her two children and a Labrador. She enjoys horse riding and walking.
Chris graduated from the University of Bristol in 2007. He volunteered at a vet clinic in the Peruvian Amazon straight after qualifying, then spent a few years working in large & small animal practice in the Midlands & Cornwall before joining Lynwood in 2011.
Chris is very keen on ophthalmology (eyes), and he achieved a postgraduate certificate in the subject alongside Advanced Practitioner status in 2018. He also particularly enjoys surgery and ultrasound scanning.
Outside work Chris is kept busy by his young son and very lively Border Terrier. When time allows, he also enjoys playing guitar, astronomy, and mountain biking in the Wareham Forest & Purbeck areas.
Lucy qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Glasgow in 1991 and joined Lynwood in 2015.
She loves living and working in the Purbeck area, and dealing with people and their pets.
Lucy has a certificate in Veterinary radiography and enjoys trying to get the most out of the images we take.
When not working she enjoys walking and playing the mandolin.
Liz began her career with the practice in 2006 as a trainee Veterinary Nurse and achieved her qualification in 2009. Liz became Head Veterinary Nurse at Purbeck in 2011. She has always been interested in the health and welfare of all animals and has been passionate about animals all her life.
She has a very keen interest in rabbits and small furries and currently has a very spoilt house rabbit of her own called Eddie who she adores!
Outside of work Liz enjoys socialising with friends, going on country walks and spending time with her family.
Sarra joined us in 2016 as our clinical coach to train the student veterinary nurses, she then became Head Nurse in 2020. She qualified in a busy local veterinary hospital in 2009 and since then has locumed at various practices across Dorset and now runs her own pet care business.
Sarra is also a qualified dog groomer and provides this as part of her business. She owns an ex-racehorse called Shuil Royale and three dogs a Chihuahua called Hughie, a Papillon x Yorkie called Gizmo and a Shih Tzu x Maltese called Ralph.
In her spare time, she likes to socialise with friends, horse ride, clay shoot and play darts.
Amy qualified with a degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Administration from Bristol University in 2010, and since then has been working as a Registered Nurse in Cornwall and Poole.
She thoroughly enjoys theatre nursing and patient care, as well as completing nurse appointments. Outside of work Amy enjoys exploring the local area with her border terrier called " Basil", baking sweet treats, and gardening.
Claire joined Lynwood Veterinary Group in July 2011 after working at practices in Bournemouth and Poole. She qualified as an RVN in February 2011.
Claire enjoys the varied nature of Veterinary Nursing especially surgery and nutrition. In February 2017 she completed a level 4 certificate in Canine and Feline Veterinary Health Nutrition.
At home Claire has a Miniature Bull Terrier and two Guinea-pigs. Outside of work Claire enjoys dog walking and living in the beautiful Isle of Purbeck.
Jules joined in 2000. She lives locally with her partner, daughter, and Border Terrier Winston.
Jules loves living and working in the isle of Purbeck.
She currently works part time at our Swanage surgery.
Debbie has worked for Lynwood for over 25 years. She originally worked at the Bournemouth branch, then onto Wimborne, where she qualified. After having children, she joined the Purbeck team part-time and is found working between the Wareham and Swanage branches.
Debbie has two crazy Staffies and a cat who thinks he is human. She loves to fill her spare time, walking, cycling and being outdoors.
Elaine joined Lynwood in 2000, gaining her RVN qualification in 2003. Over the years she has worked at our Bournemouth, Swanage and Wareham surgeries.
She has three cats. Bella, a RSPCA rescue cat who tolerates grown-ups but loves kids and two very affectionate brothers, Billy, and Bertie, who she adopted from Margaret Green Animal Rescue.
Qualified as an RVN in 2017.
I always had a passion for animals, ever since I could walk or talk. I have strong interests in hand-rearing, critical care nursing and emergencies.
I am owner to Chester, my Husky cross Labrador, and Jango-fett, my mischeivious black cat, who I hand-reared from only a week old.
On my days off im kept busy with my little girl, and spending time with the family. Also enjoy dogs walks up the woods and swimming.
Gemma began working for Lynwood in April 2014, after previously working at a Veterinary Practice in Bournemouth for 3 and a half years. Whilst at Lynwood, Gemma completed her Veterinary Nursing Diploma.
When she is not working, Gemma enjoys going out for meals and spending time with family and friends. She currently has two Ragdoll cats called Max and Smudge.
Emily joined Lynwood, Wareham in November 2017 as a Kennel Assistant and is working towards her Diploma of becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse. She has always loved animals and making their lives as exciting and healthy as possible.
In her spare time, she likes to rock climb, mountain bike and be outside with her springer spaniel named daisy and pony called Whiz.
Debbie joined the Purbeck team as a Receptionist in October 2018 having previously worked for 18 years in a large animal practice in West Sussex. She enjoys working with animals and engaging with people and is looking forward to continuing her work in the Veterinary environment. Debbie is working towards the BVRA (Accredited Veterinary Receptionist) award and has completed the Bronze and Silver levels; following this, her goal is to complete the Gold level.
In her spare time Debbie enjoys walking in the countryside, the occasional horse ride and gardening.
