The last vet in Duncan's family was his Great Great Grandfather! Duncan still has his walking stick and some old equipment. Unfortunately, it is of very little use these days, but Duncan may need the walking stick in the future so keeps it just in case.
Duncan always wanted to be a vet. He grew up surrounded by horses and spent most of his childhood learning to fall off them whilst making it look like he meant to. Having worked at dog rescue centres, sheep farms, pig farms and dairy farms he went up to Cambridge. His first degree was in Pharmacology before qualifying as a vet in 1998.
He joined the practice in 2004 after previously working in mixed practice in Bungay, Suffolk. In 2008 he attained the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine and is now an Advanced Practitioner in Medicine. He has a great depth of ultrasonography experience, acquired over his whole career as the technology has developed and particularly enjoys echocardiography (heart scans). His favourite joke is "Who's the coolest vet in the practice? The ultra-sound guy!". No one laughs.
Duncan became a partner in 2010 and has been instrumental in the modernisation of the practice over the last few years. Over the two decades of his time at Lynwood he has got to know many fantastic and wonderful pet owners, and many fantastic and lovely pets. He is now Senior Clinical Director for the whole of the Lynwood group which keeps him busy, but he treasures his clinical days.
Outside of work Duncan is married with two sons who are just as enthusiastic as he is. He is a modestly gifted tenor and plays the piano, cello and a strange variety of other instruments. He also is founder and chairman of Fordingbridge Astronomers and has endless enthusiasm for the subject!
Rebecca graduated from Cambridge in 1999, initially worked in a mixed animal practice but for the last 15 years has concentrated more on pets. Rebecca joined the Lynwood team in July 2016 as Pratice Manager and Veterinary Surgeon.

Louis joined the Lynwood team in 2012 and has enjoyed developing a rapport with the Lynwood clients, he has recently become the joint lead veterinary surgeon at the Wimborne clinic.

In his spare time Louis walks his hyperactive dogs and attempts to train them to come back when called. When the dogs are not running circles around him, Louis' two children take over! Louis also tries to achieve the ever-elusive challenge of 'getting a bit fitter’ and in the limited quiet time he has, he likes to get out in the garden to plant his veg patch, plays his guitar and picks up his paint brushes to create pet portraits.

Tracy has amassed a small collection of animals - led by a black Labrador who was born in April 2019, two English Springer spaniels (who still cannot believe that their mum has been a traitor and given houseroom to a Lab!) and three cats (who all appeared as strays and decided that they had found a nice home, so they would settle in).
Carrie is our Group Head Nurse having joined Lynwood in July 2018. She has many years’ experience caring for the pets of Wimborne having worked with John & Owain Burrows for 17 years until their retirement.

As a self-confessed "mad dog lady" Carrie has 4 of her own at home. Queenie the English Springer Spaniel, Freya, and Ned the working cockers and Posy the naughty Cockapoo.
