Compassionate vet care for Dorset’s pets
We provide friendly and welcoming veterinary care for the pets of Dorset – and have been doing since 1849!
Our first practice in Wimborne moved to Lynwood House in the 1930s, and since then we have added branches in Verwood, Bournemouth, Wareham and Swanage, ensuring that each has the modern facilities and compassionate teams to care for your pets to the highest possible standard.

Our Pet Health Plan: peace of mind for you and your pet
Our practices and teams are fantastically equipped to take the best possible care of your pet. And the best way to take advantage of all that we have to offer is through our Pet Health Plan.
Our plan gives the peace of mind that comes from knowing that routine treatments and vaccinations are covered throughout your pet’s life, as well as discounts should more complex treatment ever become necessary.
Owners of dogs and cats can access the plan, which breaks down the cost of routine veterinary services to a monthly direct debit. Included are annual vaccinations, flea and worm control and two annual health check-ups, as well as discounts on a range of services, and even pet food.
Our branches in Wimborne, Verwood, Bournemouth, Wareham and Swanage all have excellent modern facilities, allowing us to offer a range of services.
Vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, neutering and microchipping form part of our day-to-day offering, but we also have a range of equipment such as dental x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy to help diagnose and treat potential issues promptly.
Our patients can also take advantage of high quality care throughout nights, weekends and bank holidays, provided by Vets Now from our Wimborne branch. They have a dedicated team of emergency vets and nurses, trained in critical care, providing you and your pet with veterinary treatment when your local Lynwood branch is closed.

Dorset’s only veterinary-led rehabilitation service
Operating out of our Bournemouth branch, PetFit Hydrotherapy is designed to provide solutions to your pet’s mobility and fitness challenges.
Our pets can’t tell us when they are in pain or suffering from a condition, and many are very good at hiding their symptoms. Even subtle changes in their behaviour could indicate discomfort or pain.
We help pets recovering from injury, senior pets, those with weight management issues and pets managing illnesses using a range of therapies, including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and other rehabilitation techniques such as acupuncture, laser and pulsed electromagnetic therapies.
These are used alongside pain management, nutritional advice and positive behavioural and environmental modifications to improve your pet’s wellness and quality of life.
We also offer a range of nutraceuticals designed to optimise health, used alone or in combination with other therapies and medications.
