Veterinary care in Dorset for a long, long time!
We can trace the history of our practice back to 1849, remarkable longevity that has seen changes to the industry that Richard Stone Blake – the vet who first established his practice in Wimborne during the early years of the reign of Queen Victoria – would undoubtedly struggle to believe!
But while veterinary techniques may have changed beyond recognition, all those years serving the pets of Dorset and their owners have lent us a unique understanding of our community and its needs.
We now have five branches – in Wimborne, Verwood, Bournemouth, Wareham and Swanage – modern facilities and a fantastic team committed to treating all of our patients with an outstanding level of care and compassion, as if they were part of our own family.
We provide a practice that is friendly and welcoming, treating every client and pet as an individual, always putting your needs first and ensuring we give each patient the time they need.
Our range of facilities across branches allows us to provide services beyond your usual veterinary practice, including PetFit Hydrotherapy, the only veterinary-led rehabilitation service in the area, providing physiotherapy and underwater treadmill therapy for cats and dogs, based at our Bournemouth branch. We place great emphasis on developing our team, and our trainee nurses have access to the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing to help them make the best start to their career possible.
Our first priority will always be the health and happiness of our patients, just as it has been for the best part of 200 years. Long may it continue!
